If you know me, you know that I believe meditation is about the closest thing to magic wand, but for more reasons than a simple zen-out after work. Meditation can also be your biggest asset when it comes to love making, here’s three reason why:

1: Meditation melts away stress and anxiety:

By calming the mind and body, meditation takes us out of stress mode, allowing a deep level of relaxation so that everything improves on a massive scale, including your orgasms. The more relaxed you can become, the deeper your state of pleasure drop into. So often we take our to-do lists, our past experiences and our thoughts about tomorrow’s breakfast into the bedroom with us. Mediation is an amazing tool to help quiet the mind chatter and get you back into the present moment - which, by the way, is where all the juiciness is. Try to practice meditations that bring you into your body, like your heart, your breath or your pelvic floor.

3: Meditation helps you tune into subtle sensations:

We are an over-stimulated bunch of humans. All you have to do is sit in a city traffic jam or scroll through Instagram to understand that we’re constantly being bombarded with stimulation. In our goal-orientated sex-society, where a quick rub of the clit and a fast, frictional peak orgasms is the norm - it’s no wonder our bodies are so numb - especially our pussies. Mediation is an amazing tool to help hush the over-stimuli and heighten your awareness to subtle sensations and pleasure in the body (and not just the clit).
