As I’m sure you’ve gathered so far… Living a turned-on life is so much more than blow job tips and vibrators. The truth of it all is this, the better you feel internally, the fuller your sexual experience will be. If you’re feeling confident within yourself and grounded in self-love, this will be reflected in the bedroom as well.

Here are my Top Five books for feeling happy, healthy and turned-on.

Mastering Your Mean Girl - Melissa Ambrosini
It's true what they say you know, self-love really is the secret ingredient to becoming wildly wealthy, fabulously healthy and bursting with love. For many of us though, self-love is an acquired skill, and one that can require more than affirmations and mirror work. Melissa Ambrossini's book gave me the tools (that I still use to this day) to silence my inner critic and get my mental health under control. Health starts between the ears, and there is no amount of kale or crystal pleasure wands in the world that will save us if our mindset isn't in tip-top shape.

Calvin & Hobbes - Bill Watterson
It's easy to get caught up in personal development, feeling like we constantly need to be learning, growing or healing. I am absolutely NOT about that. Laughter, lightness, and play is about as important to me as my daily mediations. I love Calvin and Hobbes comic books and have one next to my bed pretty much at all times. An intelligent comic series for adults with LOL's in abundance.

Vagina; A New Biography - Naomi Wolfe
This was the first book I read about sexuality and a women's anatomy of arousal - it absolutely changed my life. I love @naomirwolf because she approaches the subject from a grounded, science-based perspective and really tunes into the neuroscience and biology behind feminity, arousal, and orgasm. A truly in-depth and well-researched showcase of the latest science on modern sexuality.

The Way of The Superior Man - David Deida
I'm definitely no man but boy do I have a lot of masculine energy running in me. As a modern woman living in western society, I was taught that busyness was my measurement tool for self-worth and success was dependant on my job title. It's no wonder I used to run around wearing the pants in my life, and in my relationships - it wasn't sexy. The Way of The Superior Man helped me understand my inner masculine and start to create more harmony in the way I moved through life, love, and work.

Instead of women constantly man-blaming and throwing the words toxic masculinity around like confetti, maybe it's time we started taking responsibility for our own inner man and understand how we may have been contributing to this story as well.

Any Mills & Boon novel - Various Authors
So bad but so good! Cheesy, retro soft-erotica and romance stories that are an absolute easy reading treat. Perfect on a tantalising sunny Sunday by the beach, or on the train home after work before seeing your beloved. I love to indulge in dramatic romance and lusty love stories, connecting me to my longing, lust, and desire, as well as my extremely excitable inner sex & love coach as I psychoanalyse the attachment styles, communication mishaps and childhood trauma projections of each relationship dynamic. Yum, what more can I say?

As always, reading an armful of personal development books won't mean anything unless you actually embody what you're learning. I like to write down my key takeaways and integration action steps from each once I'm done.
I'd love to know, what is the most impactful book you've ever read?
